Technical Support Representative

Job Description

Position Summary

Individuals in this role are responsible for providing technical support and advice to sales personnel and customers. They will assist in maintaining a high-quality sanitation program.  This position requires extensive travel, enthusiasm and self-motivation.

REPORTS TO:

Technical Representative reports directly to the Technical Support Team Leader.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  1. Assist/perform and prepare written reports, chemical usage surveys, audits and inspections.
  2. Determine/initiate problem-solving procedures at customer sites.
  3. Train staff and implement sanitation procedures at customer sites.
  4. Perform installation/repair of chemical application equipment.

OCCASSIONAL DUTIES:

  1. Edit customer reports generated by the sales force.
  2. Arrange for repair of chemical application equipment.

RESPONSIBILITY AND AUTHORITY:

Each employee has the organizational freedom and authority to initiate action to prevent the occurrence of any nonconformities relating to the product, process and quality or environmental system; identify and record any problems relating to the product, process and quality or environmental system; initiate, recommend or provide solutions through designated channels; verify the implementation of solutions; control further processing, delivery or installation of nonconforming product until the deficiency or unsatisfactory condition has been corrected.

EXPECTATION OF TRAVEL:

This role requires regular in-state and out-of-state travel with some overnight stays.  Technical Support Representative should expect to travel 50% of the time.

EDUCATION AND TRAINING REQUIRED:

Each Technical Representative will have at least a High School Diploma, or its equivalent, and relevant job-specific training, determined by the company.
