Why Madison Chemical

Family owned and operated since 1947, when you work with us you are more than a customer, you are family.

At Madison Chemical we take a unique hands-on consultative approach that was developed with our team of Master Brewers and chemists.  We understand that just as no two beers are alike, no two breweries are either.  Our products have been designed specifically to help craft brewers enhance beer quality by providing a complete line of cleaners and sanitizers, with expert technical advice always available from some of the best in the industry.

What Our Customers are Saying

“Andrew and Madison Chemical have offered excellent technical and customer service. Andrew quickly and knowledgeably answers all inquiries whenever we have questions and leaves us alone when we don’t! Andrew pitched us on a platform of overall value and then delivered on his promise. Andrew has saved us money not by offering cheaper chemicals, but by providing high quality performing chemicals that reduced our overall usages.”

Complex and layered soil deposits are a challenge for every brewer. The mix of inorganic/oxalate type deposits sometimes referred to as beer stone, and wort residues create a soil load unlike any other in your facility. Basic cleaning practices are not as effective on this anything but basic soil; therefore, Madison Chemical’s Master Brewer has developed a specialized two-stage cleaning protocol for this exact situation. If heavy beer stone build-ups are causing you problems, we have your solution. Just ask our friends at Ocelot Brewing.

All too frequently, we find breweries forced to manually scrub because they have a tan/brown residue left behind in the kettle after cleaning. While sometimes this practice is a result of equipment inefficiencies, it is more often a result of not optimizing that kettle cleaning cycle. If you are tired of scrubbing in your kettle, let a member of our Brewery Team resolve that issue by optimizing your cleaning procedure.

Before

After

Environmental cleaning is not just for aesthetics. Breweries are often great places for wild yeast and mold to grow because they are generally found to be damp and warm. Whether it is tank stands, tops of conical vessels or drains, we all know of at least one place in every brewery that could benefit from an improved cleaning practice. Our Brewery Team would love to help you find those improvements by utilizing some of our specially formulated foaming detergents and sanitizers.

Great for you

As a family-owned company that started in a garage in 1947,  Madison Chemical knows a little something about that small business mindset. While we have grown to become one of the Nations leading suppliers of cleaning and sanitation chemicals to the food and beverage industries, we have never lost sight of our identity. That focus on the small business mindset has kept us striving to always treat our smallest customer as well as our largest. We recognize that the size of your facility does not minimize the size of your daily cleaning challenges; therefore, we are always looking to develop unique solutions that are specific to you.

Madison Chemical is more than just a vendor; we are a partner in cleaning and sanitation. Given the opportunity, we are confident that our Brewery Team can bring you leading chemical technology and a level of service that is second to none.
